Scirocco Register

Im pretty sure that this is going to sound like a really silly question but...

how do i go about removing the clocks in my mk1?
im replacing my broken speedo cable and cant work out how to remove the clocks
i cant see any screws etc and dont want to start pulling things at random incase i break something.

Take your radio out if you have one, and you should see a screw through a bracket into the rev counter casing. Once you have removed the screw, the whole console should pull out, but you might want to disconnect the wiring to the back first.

I think you can remove the speedo cable though, without taking the clocks out.

Yes you can, reach up under the dash and locate the speedo cable to unscrew- it is a doddle.
