Fuel Seperation Canister

Hi

Have fitted a new Weber to my 1.6 GT. I also have fitted an electric fuel as the mechanical pump died.
Do I still need the fuel seperation canister with the fuel return line. Or can I get rid of it or is there anywhere
I can get a new one as I can't open it to clean it out as I suspect it is full of crap.
The last owner had no filter and a rotten filler neck and a pooberg.

Any suggestions

Thanks

David

i ditched mine just 3 days ago and the car runs much better.
i replaced it with a y piece connector from a screen wash system. you can buy them from most moter factors. you will need quite a large one tho to fit the the fuel pipe bore. best to take in the sparator to compare the size you will need. makesure you get some jubilee clips to to clamp the pipes with.

Hi,
Any chance of some pics of your set up.
Did you just leave the mechanical pump attached to the block or have you blanked it off ?
Is the electrical pump wired up through the ignition ?
Is there any loss of power at the top end of the revs ?
How did you decide on pump size ?
Often wondered if this would work.
Any info appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
