Yep - had a Supersprint mk1 golf on my Storm - the rear pipe may stick out a little too far from the back box, but other than that...

sorry to hijack this but i have a related question and it seemed pointless making a new thread.

are the downpipes from a mk1 golf compatible with my mk1 scirocco manifold and the rest of the exhaust system?

mine has a crack in it and i need a new one to pass an MOT

many thanks in advance :)

If it's got tits or tyres it's trouble but I always go back for more.

Not sure on the carb/injection differences, but like for like you'll be alright.
I've got a downpipe to fit an injection if you need one.

I'd like to know which system/brand/size would suit my 16v?

I'd like to keep it quiet, but get the best quality, and power.

I missed a supersprint mild steel one on ebay, but i'm glad cos i'm thinking stainless would be better anyway.

I'd probably go Jetex if I were to do it all over again...

Just digging this up again

What is the general opinion of 'aluminised' stainless? This is what the supersprint system is, and coated in paint. having second thoughts about it now. seems expensive for non-stainless...?

well they just dont do them at all by the looks of it.

Supersprint aluminised £400 manifold back
Jetex Full Stainless £310 manifold back

I already have the supersprint 16v conversion manifold, just dunno what to do!
