Fitting injection crankshaft pulley on EX

Hi all,

I'm after a replacement pulley as my crankshaft pulley is warped slightly, but having difficulty finding one. There seem to be a lot more injection (DX) ones than the carb versions.
The DX one seems larger and heavier than the carb version, so would need longer bolts I think.

Is there any benefit or reason using one over the other other?

Cheers.
Chris

coolant in the gti has further to go than the ex engine ie around the oil cooler and such plus moving more water round a larger rad. i put a larger pulley on my carb gt2 because my old one warped. it caused my rocko to over heat when stationary because it pumped the water through the rad too fast and caused it to get too cold down the moterway. at first i thought it was my thermostat playing up but i changed that and it was exactly the same. i ended up buying a new pulley from vw. its fine now.
the bigger the crank pulley the faster you alternator and you water pump spins.
