Should have joined a long time ago, have a MKII GTS project on the go which is a total nut and bolt refurb job. Must admit I have done nothing in the last 8 months but reading the posts has spurred me on to start in ernest in the new year. I need to re-install the rear beam axle and require new bushes all round including the anti roll bar and beam pivot, have been told by the nice chaps at VW that the pivots only come as a unit ? ,can anybody point me in the right direction ( not to expensive ), also need new bolts washers etc, somebodies advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Aftermarket options for the rear beam are basically "Poly" bushes, i.e. Powerflex (medium) or Prothane (hard). The latter are also sold under other brand names like Bugpack
You'll need to remove the old rubber ones and refurb the "pivot" yourself. I know Prothane ones come with washers but can't remember if Powerflex do.
Powerflex also do the ARB bushes.

The nuts and bolts can be bought from the dealers, standard bushes are available from Euro Car Parts or GSF. Take care with the ARB brackets, expensive and hard to get new!

I'm in the midst of preparing a rear beam, check my thread..

Bought Rally design bushes the yellow poly ones which are said to be not too harsh and cheaper than Powerflex..

I'm just waiting for the two pairs of ARB ones, standard rubber ones from VW Heritage. They seem to be taking their time with the order but I'm not in a hurry.
Check this guide also, you might well have seen it posted before..

Oh and you'll see in my thread I made my own ARB brackets as they are very hard to get just now. I've had folk tracking me down to see if I'd make a pair

The trailing arm clamp brackets and their closing clips are available from VW Classic Parts, either direct or through VW Heritage.

That Mk1 thread is very helpful, thanks for posting that.

My next task.
