Cleaning seats... Ideas?

Hi all,

So I'm still deciding whether or not to sell the rocco, but in the mean time I want to clean up the interior. The main issue I'm having is with the cloth seats (white scala interior... nightmare!!)

I've tried using:

vanish (cleans random patches but looks terrible)
Vanish and much scrubbing
A steamer - worked well with stains, but moves all of the dirt around, so its evenly spread. (Not helpful)

What have people used in the past? Desperate for something that works.

Cheers,
Dan

sounds like you need to get it really wet with a proprietry cleaner and use a vax vacuum on it to lift all moisture. then leave to dry in the house.
a bit drastic but when i got my rocco to clean the seats i took them out and jetwashed them at a car wash and they came out suberb. took ages to dry tho.

I've stripped the covers off the foam base and carefully hand washed them in the bath with normal washing powder. Need to do them again actually.

Yea I considered the whole idea of jet washing them, but I was too worried of damaging them (the drivers side bolster is slightly ripped)

The vax might be an idea though. Wonder if I can find someone local i can borrow one off :D

Strip them off , pre treat them and then put them in a pillow case and put them in the washing machine - drip dry them

I had the same dilema with my white seats! I used washing powder/liquid and warm water, then scrubbed with a nail brush, took ages , then left to dry in the house.
Once done I recommend using a seat cover(s) for everyday use.
