Just been for a half hour blast and car now seems fine

Post by Jimwise68 »

After the stalling issues and the carb issues, my Rocco now seems to be running sweet. Just been for a half hour back road blast and it didnt miss a beat.

Got the idle down to 850 rpm and have tuned the Weber carb. Fitted the new braided fuel lines and a new fuel filler pipe and the stalling issue is no more. Or so it seems. Gonna take it for a blast to the station in the morning instead of my day to day car, so fingers crossed.

Am well chuffed am almost tempted to go out for another blip

Thanks to MacCall, MRMENDER and Old Mac Rocco for the advice and tips. The throttle cable nipple fouling on the Weber Carb vacuum housing is so blooming obvious once you know!!

Done my two mile commute to the station this morning in lots of traffic and no problem at all.
Even endured the 3rd floor of the multi storey carpark.

Must admit i did think to myself "what am I doing?" this morning but had to see if the problem was resolved as lost all confidence in going any further than about 800 yards.

Now that the fuel issue is sorted I can start on removing the decals and getting the body work prepped for the paint shop so i can get the outside looking nice ready for these bad boys:

:hi: Really do like those wheels :vcool: I bet they're a bitch to keep clean though. Mind you, with that look it'd be worth it.
