OK so your MKII seats are cream crackerd (sp) as usual
Decent used ones are like hens teeth to get :(
Has anyone got any recommendations for a "way round" ?
The Halfrauds seat covers I bought are going straight back on Monday ! = no good at all (£42) !
Are there any seat covers that are any good ?
Are there any "3rd party" seats such as corbeau or sparco etc that are easy (ish) to fit ?

I have sparco Torino 2's and, quite honestly, they are a bit of a bastard.
First thing is that you'll need custom frames, I got modified Cobra sub frames and then played around. What you don't really appreciate is that Rocco seats are much lower to the deck. Mine's all set up and spot on for me but it was a bit of a trek.
If you want ease of fitting, comfort and low slung but can't be bothered with dicking around get yourself some Raddo seats

There are loads of seats kicking around, you can get a set for not a lot and repair what you have with the use of an upholsterer.
Google "car upholsterer chester" and there are several in your area.

Did not know that Coraddo seats would fit = straight bolt in solution ?

Yes.
Straight in, relatively cheap, comfy, lower than usual seats etc etc.
The obvious choice

I can second that - half-decent Corrado seats will feel way better than any standard MkII seat.

I'm yet to find a tidy cheap set, but I'm looking into going down the same route.

Well if you find two sets = let me know ;)
Or if you find a set that are a bit too dear for you, let me know ;)
I NEED to get this sorted, though I am not prepared to cough up £200+ as per some on ebay

- though to be fair that is more often for the rears and door cards as well, which I do not need of course.
