Rear seats, bench V split, interchangable ?

Post by ghost123uk »

Hi all.

Simple question and I think I already know the answer, but just checking.

Are bench type rear seats interchangeable with the split type? (I reckon they are, am I correct ?)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wanted by the way, front seats or a full set, in good nick, rare as... I know but... :beg:
The seat backs have a different fixing as the split seat has a plate in the middle, to fit onto four studs that are welded into the vehicle body.
The previous owner of mine switched from off-centre split rears to centre-split, by taking the central support plate off his old scrapper and rivetting it into the floorpan. It's a bit wobbly really, because there's not much metal there... Need to take the fuel tank out at some point and put some proper reinforcement in there, or alternatively take it out and fit original seats back in. Or just remove the rear seats entirely and replace with carpet...
