As title.
ive done a bit of searching around etc but im new to sciroccos so i thought id pipe up and ask here. apologies if its been answered on here before

is the lower front panel of a storm interchangable between the lower front panel of say a gls?

im on the lookout for my first mk1 rocco and im not a fan of the storms distinctive "chin" lol
but if one were to pop up in my price range i couldnt say no so im hoping i can give it a face lift :p

also is there anything else i should know about if i was making a storm erm... less stormy?

thanks in advance

The front panels are the same - the Storm has an add-on fiberglass (?) spoiler.

Other models came with a two piece plastic "duckbill" spoiler.

Very early models came with a metal spoiler as part of the front panel.

If you take off a Storm spoiler, you will have a number of holes visible from the fixing screws, the most noticeable of which are the ones just in front of the front wheel arch.

Can you still get the front spoiler for the GLS? I thought they were like hens teeth?

Sorry to hijack the thread. I have removed the fibreglass spoiler from my Storm and have purchaed a genuine Mk1 Golf small spoiler and also a Gti duck bill type. Neither of the holes in these spoilers seem to line up with the holes in the front valance. Do I have the wrong parts or will I have to drill new holes in the metal panel? The spoilers look a bit short is this right?
