Hi Im attempting to install a set of footwell lights. I want these ligts to come on at the same time as the interior door light.

Where should I wire the positive to? Is there a connection near the fusebox that I could scotchlock onto? If so where is it and what colour is the live wire? Or is it a better idea to wire to the door switch? Thanks guys

Take the interior light off and you'll see the color of the wires. They go up the n/s pillar, so you can see them going in at the bottom. You can splice into that. Earth point's easy and obvious next to the fuse box.

NO!! never use scotchlocks other than for a temporary bodge! near enough every electrical problem i go out to on older cars is caused by trailer sockets or immobilisers that have been fited with them. they work loose and/or cut thru the wire they're joined to. either solder and heatshrink, or use decent quaility crimps.
