Alright guys im working hard on a mk2 scirocco to get it looking some what different to the normal scirocco look. I have planeed to keep it debumpered but will need to get rid of the bumper recess. Before i make the step of selling the bumpers im just wondering if anyone on here could give me an idea of what kind of price im looking at having to pay for the fab and weld. All i want doing is the fabrication and the welding as i dont have the facilities to do this.I have a cuple of pics to show twhat i mean. I am looking to have the bumper recess completely gone so it has a curved bum.Any hlp and suggestions is very much appreciated. Im located in Coventry so if anyone has any recommendations around here that would be awesome.

Would the car be street legal if you remove the bumpers?

I would have thought so seeing as golfs, jettas and polos are without bumpers.

I don't understand what you mean about the cars you mention not having bumpers.

He asked if it would be road legal. I said that similar age cars such as golfs, polos and jettas are rolling aound without bumpers. From what i know not having bumperrs on an older car is pefectly legal.

Ah, I see.
As for your bodywork, you're mostly paying for labour, which is generally expensive if it's any good. I wouldn't be surprised for something like that to cost anywhere between £500 and £1000 to be done well, but the only way you'll get a proper idea is to get some quotes - don't remember seeing a smoothed-off rear end here before, so I doubt there's anyone who can give you costings for the exact job you want done.

A guy on edition said should be around 200. I only want the fab and welding done. I will be finishing it off smoothing it etc. Just want to create something different but using the angles of the rocco so its not so different.
