New mystery noise!

Well, i’ve decided to keep the old girl as i don’t fancy a British winter on a superbike again.

She’s developed a new noise in the past 2 weeks, i can’t for the life of me fathom what it is.
It’s at the front of the car, what seems like the wheel assembly. It’s like a low clunking sound which doesn’t necessarily keep pace with the speed of the car.
I’ve jack up the front and had a look over the assembly’s, also checked bearings and such. Everything looks ok to me.
Any suggestions? I know it’s a long shot, i guess i wanted an idea before i take it into the workshop. :beg:

if you are totaly sure its not the bearings then it can only be worn top mounts or a cv joint on its wayout.to check cv's find somewhere you can drive round in circles and do so on full lock each direction and you will hear a constant knocking sound if so.........the top mounts require you to jack the wheels off the ground and lever the wheel upwards and look for play before the suspenshion starts to work...also check that the all the suspenshon componants are tightend to the correct torque.most suspenshion noises occur when taking up drive ...hope this helps you out. excuse my dyslexic spellings lol

If your still lucky enough to have them fitted, check the brake disc sheilds. They can corrode and become loose, touching the disc or wheel when driving.

I had that some time ago actually.
It’s not something light, something heavy mechanical, possibly the drive assemblies.
Thanks for the input guys.
