Hi everyone, I've had my scirocco for a while and finally decided to introduce myself, shes a 87 1.8 carb'd scala
Progress will be slow as im currently in uni, commute from Flint to Bangor everyday and work at the weekends so spare time doesnt exist at the moment
will probably be asking for advice quite often as ive never had a carb car before just injection, this is my current daily, my little lupo, the scirocco will hopefully be my next daily once its finished ....
Thanks Scott

Welcome... Looks like you have made use of the wheels from the Scirocco on the lupo?

thanks for the welcome :)
I'll keep on eye out for a scirocco :) I have seen a few sciroccos in Bangor, one was a silver gt2 , was that you ?
yeah the scirocco wheels are on the lupo, I didnt see the point in leaving them in a garage not being used when they suit the lupo so much :)

Thanks alot for that offer mate :D I may take you up on that at some point, ive just bought a weber carb from my friend that needs rebuiding and its not as easy as i thought is was going to be :(
parts wise I think alright thanks,i have been looking for new front seats but i cant find white scala seats :(, all i know it needs mechanically is the clutch and exhaust system looking at, other that that its just general work because its been standing so long

Post up on the running gear thread about your clutch, they are normally heavy if thats the problem.

Are your front seats just dirty or has the drivers side bolster worn through? I have a couple of sections of Laskey white material, can't remember which bits and can't check until mid December.

Hi mate, the seats are a bit of both, they're dirty but the drivers side seat has seen better days .... The bottom bolster bits are holey, ones missing :( and I think the actual bolsters are gone so it may just be better to replace the seat

Ok, hope this is right,
Im kev, 33, from manchester, just about to take delivery of a 1988 Rocco Scala, in white at end of the month. Cant wait, always wanted one, shes completley standard, (for now) im hoping to get some advice in the near future regarding engine mods, suspension, alloys(which need refurb as leaking air) etc, so, hope to talk and contribute to the community in any smal way i can.
Il post some pics as and when i pic her up!
Best regards and merry Christmas.
