The return of Caged Roc

The nutshell above sort of brings us up to date. That's all well and good Ant I hear you say, but where is the Scirocco content? My wish is your command.

The Caged Roc returns.

It was finally time to put Filmidget's plan into action. To remind us why this car had to transplant its gubbins:

The shell is twisted at the rear, the rear chassis legs bent and the os rear quarter pushed forward.

And what gubbins! 1.8 16v.

And into Caged Roc. In case you don't know Caged Roc, it is a 1982 GTI.

And KYA lives on in other ways. Emma lost her windscreen on route to work due to a blown lorry tyre. KYA, in a last effort of self sacrifice, donated its windscreen:

The legend GT Matt helped me fit it, and whilst we had the car in the two of us also fitted a new downpipe and steering UJ boot to Emma's GT2, jobs that I had on 'the list' for a little while. Thanks Matt mate :good:

The legend also helped me get the Ro 80 in a fine fettle.

Can't wait to get this on the road.

And another Rob Webster car here, just needed a little attention to the brakes. Its a nice little GT.

Thanks mate.

Dunno where the pipe originated from, it was on the donor car for KYA when the 16v was fitted a few years ago.

I decided to repaint the gold GLS for two reasons. 1) some plonker had scraped the wheelarch and driven off, and 2) The wrong colour was getting on my nerves just that little bit too much and i wasn't greatly happy with the finish.

So I found a factors that could mix the original colour and into my new paint shoppe the mk1 went.

Can't decide if to keep or sell this GLS :dunno:

Have been busy of late. Here is one for MarkH, had to rebuild the rear arches and blend in new paint on a lovely old Mercedes.

And this one drove me potty, getting rid of rust and blending silver...ahhhhhh!!! Ended up painting or partially painting 8 panels on this car, but i'll spare you all that and just post a nice pic of a wing instead.

Just wanted to say thanks mate, did a fantastic job on my mk1 GLS repairing the inner wing, :buddy:
cant wait to see the Golf when its finished, lovely car.

Was down there yesterday and that Golf looks stunning 'straight from the gun'.

Ant is a lucky man in that he has found something he has a talent for, and enjoys it too...
