The headlights were a bargain find on German ebay and the grill was a stroke of luck find on UK ebay. I will let the pictures do the talking.

Very sweet mate, the grille from the old boy clearing his garage down south? I tried to get a few bits off him but he kept selling them! Nice find on the lights too! ;)

Also snook on my mates 928's. These cars are nightmare to get low on most wheels imo

Liking the Porsche rims, but then I would! Run a lower profile tyre and will look spot on! What size adapter did you use? :good:

Yeah they will do, you need at least 25mm if not 30mm for the Porsche rims to fit...

That's looking wickedly low mate!!
Mine, mocked up ,with no air in the bags is about the same :good:
Steels look good as they are so tucked, and I'm not a fan of the 928's.......
How about getting some splitty dome hubcaps on then steels?!

Cheers mate

The wish bone mounts are pretty much on the floor. It will be lower Image

The 928's went on for the sheer sake of trying them. I was hoping for loads of tuck. :hehe:

splitty caps are a good shout. I will get searching on ebay for chrome hub caps!

Well I have had a change of plan...

There was a few rust bubbles on most panels bar the roof. Ideally I wanted to show the car this year but it became clear I should attend to the body before it got any worse.

I started removing the full interior, dash and looms. The loom took me about two weeks to originally do and it only took 20minutes to remove. The interior is safely bubble wrapped and stashed out the way.

Image

I think this wing needs some repairs if not I have a pair of back up wings avliable.

Image

I then started stripping the panels, chrome etc. The car now looks like this and fingers crossed I can get it on the roll over jig this weekend.

I want to change the colour but finding a colour that matches the shape of the Mk1 and the red interior is racking my brain :hehe: Ideas so far, Whisper blue, Beryl Green or Mexican beige.
