Mr Dubpower delivered me a Very Nice parcel this morning. One of his very own 4-1 manifolds and link pipe.
Its soo much nicer and better made than the cheapo one I bought originally. Something's really are worth spending the extra pennies on. Lesson Learnt.
This will be getting fitted this week along with a couple of other bits n bobs I have picked up..

Manifold was trail fitted last night and fits very nicely! it clears everything with ease and slid easily from underneath. The one thing I would say is that it is alittle close to the steering rack mount nearest the drivers side so I am going to get some heat wrap and hopefully that will keep the temps down near the bulkhead..

The link pipe also fits nicely, it comes to pretty much to where the the exhaust hanger brackets are on the car which mean I’ve had to trim about 12” off the centre section to get it to line up nicely. I just need to get a small step up connector welded in and we’re good to go! All in all, i’m very happy with it and would recommend to anybody looking for a 16v conversion manifold.

Wow, its been 3 months already since my last update... Unfortunately, this is not going to be one of those "Guy's its done" updates!

I've had a few bits to sort out at home – trying to get the garden done, and i had a bump in the integra so i’ve been fixing that.. The rocco's been bottom of the pile. Looking at it now there is much that needs doing really, I know I need to connect the exhaust up, wire and plumb in the engine, re-do brake lines, but other than that and a couple of little jobs it should be pretty much ready to fire up and then MOT..

Only thing is, and hence why its not been a big push to finish - I cant afford to run the damn thing at the moment. All these new laws meaning you have to have constant Insurance to have tax etc - worked out its gonna cost the best part of £1000 to get it on the road with MOT/TAX/Insurance, and for a 2nd car its just too much outlay for the amount of time I will use it.

Thinking now that its going to be stored until next year, when i can do a 6month split tax/insurance wise with the integra / rocco... Rocco from April to September, and integra for the winter?!

Plans for the car may be developing anyway - I'm always on the lookout for more interesting ways to make this car unique!! But more of that if and when plans change :hehe:

That was my intention scirocco summer / polo winter but it's not quite working out that way.
It is hard to justify the expense the way things are just now but if you can put one car OFF THE ROAD ie lockup, private land, garage, storage and sorn it you do away with the insurance for the sorn'd car.
The new laws just mean you HAVE to sorn it to avoid paying insurance and it MUST BE off the road.
Go the DVLA website for all the details.
Hope it works out for you.
:bye:

Most excited........ bought ANOTHER Rieger Kit!!!! :yahoo:

Now - to find another scirocco to put it on.. This time i'm thinking maybe the opposite end of the scale to the GTO - nasty, super slammed and on some even deeper dished 13" rims.

Should really finish this one first though before I start another project! :hehe:

Yeah thats the one. Cash it tight here too, but I thought its a good investment - even if i only keep it as spares for mine.. To replace the front bumper its over £500 - so to me, £200 for a full kit is a no brainer really.

Eefy - thanks for the kind offer, but i dont think you'd let me have it back if i lent it you!! haha...

Ahhhh... Damn you photobucket.
Why when you try and organise all your photo’s does it change all the links to where you’ve posted pictures!!
Just spent the last 20mins updating those links that I have not deleted the pictures to!!

Oh well, its been a while since i looked through the project thread... and realise I have been slacking considerably with it!! It must have been April time when i last did something on the car! Very happy I dont have to pay storage charges or i'd be skint! lol.

New years post. New Years Resolution = Sort my Sh*t out, and get this car on the road!!!

Plan is to get the engine running in the next 3 weeks, and then its getting bits n bobs ready for the MOT. Then i can focus my efforts on making the inside look smart!! Show season starts in March, Tax and insurance expire on the Integra also - so now is the time for serious action!!

Lets do this!!
