I just had my new scrapers delivery from the USA from vintage rubber.. Very good quality and design.. Recomended, other that the price.

How did you find they fit? I bought the same set but have yet to fir them. Still waiting on an engine at the mo so not top of my list.

Fit is excellent, nice and snug up against the windows, and good firm fit to the door. they are felt lined too so wont stop the window. They come about 2" too long obviously, so trimming is required. - Which is tricky as they have a metal insert, so you cant cut it around the quarter window section at the front. Although a tiny dab (literally half the size of a pea!) of black silicon will sort that.. Very happy with them.

I bought them from their eBay add, postage was $34 and the import duty was £16.54

That is enough money I must say.

I love my car a lot but that is a bit steep I think for two pieces of rubber.

I am still trying to find an alternative but it is not easy.

I think I will do a crowdfund or something to get the money together and have them made here.

Problem is to find enough buyers to make it work out.

Will do some math later on to see how much is needed to get this started.

I must agree. It took a lot to decide to buy them.. I just got sick and tired of looking at the old ruined one.. Just had nightmares of them stopping selling them in the future then we would be stuck!

Same here. My doors leaked badly so o had no choice. I was in the US at the time so shipping and import costs were nill.

I am still looking for these. Even tried some breakers, but our Roccos are becoming a rare sight at breakers yards these days it seems.
With winter around the corner I am even more concerned about the ingress of water into the door

Just make sure the drainage holes at the bottom of the door are clear, poke a bit of wire in there to clear. The doors are designed to let some water through so you should be fine on my daily mk1 golf cabriolet I've a gap of about 3mm all the way long the passengers door and glass which the water runs downs and it's been like that for 15 years and the door has not rotted away.

Was there not someone at the National meet with Polo window scrapes? I thought I over heard someone talking about them but I did not spot the car.

It is best to stop as much water getting through the door and make sure the plastic membrane is in good shape and not letting the water into the car but you should be OK for now just have a look in there after the winter to check it's OK.
