Probably sheer taste and decency :yup:

Spotted a silver-grey GT or GTX on a drive in Mapperley area of Nottingham (Wifey then says "oh yeah, it's been there ages..." :dash: )

Saw a nice Green H Reg outside the Copthorne Hotel, Central Birmingham last night. Very clean. Think it was a Scala.

A grey GT (I think, had black body kit...) on the A27 by Arundel yesterday (31st). Flashed the lights and waved but no reaction. Probably too stunned to see another Scirocco on the road. Didn't get the reg or an ID on the driver as I was similarly surprised by such a rare sight.

Hi, I'm just over at coalville, so local-ish. Mine's a stock (steelies, and all) flash red '92 GT2. Seems whenever I spot another rocco, i'm in the other half's '03 9n polo though.

Seems you need to drive the Scirocco more often!

I haven't spotted any for a bit (apart from hundreds of oblivious mk3 owners who don't even know what mine is) but I thought I'd post as I've stopped getting update emails on this thread for some reason.

Not sure where your quote came from??

Most early 1990s GT2s and Scalas have front fogs as standard. My GT2 has them and she looks good.

Front fogs

I think my car would look naked without the front fogs.

I want to recess mine into the bodykit so they're flush, thus de-cluttering but still having the rally-esque look when they're on which I love. Best of both worlds. Anyone done this?
