Luckily they were quick to come out and sort it, ten minutes of faffing and the next guy had it all sitting flush (No pictures of the finished article yet as it started raining)

After the bootlid droping and clocking me one on the elbow a little while ago I decided to get new struts

Anyone spot the deliberate mistake?

Fitted it upside down, wondered why the strut was so close to the body

Not been much happening unfortunately, still collecting bits for the stereo install, but I did treat her to a new part

The previous one was not original and was held up with super glue and double sided tape (not my doing)
Mirror was not cheap, but it's something that you look at all the time so I didn't want a crappy one up there again.

Where did you get the new mirror from and how much was it if you don't mind me asking?

Ouch that is a fair whack. Looks great though. I need a Brown one and have pretty much accepted it won't happen. Apparently a mk4 golf one can be made to fit by removing a retaining ring. Love your detailing too. Looks great!

Yeah, I know, took me a while to click 'buy' :-D but I sold my Mini Cooper a few months ago to free up some funds for the Scirocco (bought a cheap, gold Mk3 Astra 8-) ) and it is something that you constantly look at whilst driving so I know it would have given me the hump to keep looking at a manky one.

Didn't realise that, may have been able to save myself a few quid!

Thanks, devil is in the detail :-D

£60 for a mirror.... that's more than I thought, but I guess that's what they are worth as it's not the sort of thing you ever need to buy again. My brother bought a car without a mirror fitted so that why I'm on the look out for one.
Car's looking great and coming together nicely. :-)
