You can't beat a "high quality" picnic blanket! :hehe: They are actually there to project the items on the car rather than the paint! :shocking:

Who cares about rust patches when your wheels make pimps blush heh heh. I'm hoping to gather the funds for a respray one day, who knows what will happen. I quite like the 70's colours, youre in good position what with it being an early it'll keep the era theme

HA HA cheers,

Checked with VW Heritage today and the gasket still hasn't left Germany, but should be with me next week, so no Bank Holiday rebuilding! :dash:

In other news my endless wheel whoring continues with something most of you will hate, picked what we think are Enkei Jap wheels, 17 x7" 4x100 fitment. Picked these up from a guy who imports and breaks JDM cars so not many of these around in the UK, be good to see what they sit like rather than the 8" Eta Betas I tried - those are now destined for my Corrado as summer wheels.

They are filthy in the pics, I'll get them cleaned up and source some tyres to see what they look like on... :shocking:

Well the carb is back, all cleaned up looks like it was sticking somewhat on the acceleration pump, bolted it back on and followed the photos that all is back on in the right order. Fired up the car and its clear there is now no spark... :dash:

Now plan to go back to basics tomorrow and borrow an avometer to check everything out... :dunno:
