I understand that it is;
1588 - 85bhp@5600 & 125Nm@3800
1595 - 75bhp@5000 & 125Nm@2500
but why did VW consider that an improvement?
The power curve & the gearing are like a diesel.
A contentious 4th post and probably in the wrong place.

Hi I'm Lisa and have had my 1990 GTII for over a year.
I've been lurking for a little while but have finally got it together enough to say hello.
Also hoping get the benefit of you peeps wisdom as my Rocco has been giving me a hard time over the last few months and is currently very unwell!

Hi lisa
Welcome aboard. Don't have much knowledge to impart myself - that was one of the reasons I signed up!
However, this is a great place to learn and there are some very wise men (and women) to be found on the forum. Post some photos of your 'rocco when you get a chance as it'd be nice to see what ou're working on.
Paul

You need a photobucket account or something similar Lisa, up load your pics to it, then copy and paste the img code on here.

Rocco_Lisa wrote:Well here are photos of my car and as far as I know it's pretty much standard. It's my daily drive and has done about 16,000 miles in the last year.....
Looks very tidy Lisa ... nothing like a red Scirocco ... unless its white!
