Hey all,

Not been here for a while, but by no means a newbie...
Looks like there are still a few familiar faces, and even more new ones :-)
Might be looking to get back in the fold some time soon, and am on the look out for a new toy...
Be back to chat soon,

Kev

hi ian im based in hindley green (wigan) up north! my clipper is metallic inka blue with light grey hood which is brand new with new cables etc. was re sprayed approx 2 years ago and is a very good job shines like a new penny when clean and waxed! has 119k on clock, weber carb manual choke, clean interior seat bolsters intact.mk2 teardrop alloys re painted not perfect due to pitting on the ally but are very presentable (im quite fussy), done loads of jobs to it over winter and drives great and looks the biz, has a single badgeless grille with smoked headlights but other than that is pretty much original i think. will come with the stereo system in too. kenwood head unit, fusion door speakers (direct replacements), vibe rear mid range and tweeters in rear quarters and a amplified subwoofer in the boot, dont get me wrong im no longer a boy racer but i think a quality sounding loudish stereo is essential in a cabby! prob more things that i've forgot but does need to be seen, its on pistonheads for £2100 and i want as near to that as poss really cos all the jobs have been done and just needs driving in the sun now! not too desperate to sell cos after doin the graft i kind of feel like i should get some enjoyment out of it but i get bored easily so if the right money is offered it can go!

Just quick intro - Paul living in Essex but not from Essex - had my MK2 Scala for 3 years - unfortunately having to sell due to daughter now wanting a car to learn on - wouldn't mind some advice on the pricing of the car - got it on the the for sale foum at 550 but had zero reponse ( lots of viewing) just wondered if I'm doing something wrong - any advice would be good because I would prefer that the car went to a good home.

Car is a 1990 Scala, 98k, no mods, lots of new parts new MOT.

Cheers

Hi everyone!

Joining up after meeting a couple of people at this years Ultimate Dubs show

I currently own a GT2, which i've had for nearly 3 years, and a Corrado VR6 which was intended to replace it
Can't really get on style wise with the Corrado, so the GT2 stays until i either swap out the motor or find a good injection model!

Anyway, here are the motors -

Hi all, i'm James just got a Mk2 1.6 GT in red, lovely with the 2-tone black, pics will follow soon, just waiting on some parts, have opted for 80mm drop and sitting it on 195/45/14, single headlight conversion and smooth grille, just after ideas and opinions thinking of having the roof and tailgate vynyl wrapped matte black, and after a replacement spoiler original style but preferebly fiberglass or abs plastic if anyone can point me in the right direction
and interior options and sources
exhaust options
as you may have guessed decided to throw some money at it, as its going to be my daily runner and i'm selling my boring-a*s saab 900 to pay for the mods
any ideas are welcome

Thanks

:hi:

Hello all,
I was pointed in this direction from the GTINI forum after I swapped my mk2 Golf GTI 8v for a cosmos blue mk2 Rocco GT (1.6).
Hopefully I'll gain some knowledge from you folks before I give in and swap/buy another Golf... I miss it :crying:

Hello!

My name is Mike and I've just bought Paul's (D-Reame) '98 Helios blue GTX!

Those of you who have seen it will agree its one of the best out there, so huge credit to Paul for the work he's done on getting it to such great condition.

I'm not new to VW's as I've owned 3 Air-cooled models (1x 1200 '72 Beetle, 2x type 3's. also an '84 Scirocco CL and a couple of MK5 golf's) I still have one of my Type 3's a 1972 Variant that I'm slowly getting back onto the road.

I hope to keep it in the excellent condition it's in and bring it to a few shows, BVF is a favorite of ours so it'll probably be there.

Hope to see and speak to you all soon. :beers:
