My rear lexan screen was an arse to do, took 5 of us to manipulate the bent, I suspect there is a clever way it can be done...

Tried clamping to the original rear window putting a space heater on it for what seemed like forever, sand bags and left for 3 days to find that it popped back to flat without trying :(

Id cut the various reinforcers out of the bonnet, boot and doors.

If you can start cutting the wiring loom down and strip it back to the bear minimum.

Plus as the driver your probably the single most heavy thing in the car so have a big power dump before you get in it.

My old boss told me years ago when i started tunning my Mini that I was wasting my time and he gave me 3 top tips.

1) back the drum brakes off
2) empty the ashtray
3) beat the shit out of the rear subframe to lighten it.

Unfortunately for most, bending lexan requires enough heat to basically melt it, so I doubt a space heater would provide enough localised heat to do the job sufficiently.

And heat benders aren't cheap. You could make your own of course and it'd be a fraction of the price, but then there's the risk of death to consider if you balls it up :)
