Looking good :good:

I did the same as you with the floor, (went black) as no one sees it unless they are lying on the floor looking or you run them over!

Keep us updated....

Progress has been a bit slower, but it is moving forward (which is important) I'm having a day off work tomorrow to visit so I might get some more photo's.

One thing I have made a decision about is under the wheel arches are going to be body colour blue not black. After viewing the 'Back from the trimmers' thread in the MK 1 section I figure the standard for restorations is being set high!

I took receipt of some NOS from my local dealer last week, (courtesy of VW Classic Parts) shiny new bonnet catch, windscreen washer jet, indicator wing repeater rubber seals. I do hope more parts will become available and remain reasonable in price.

Most of the photo's above are intended to give you an idea of before and after, I know myself that to cover the major surgery on the panel/ repair areas - it is only going to be a very light depth of filler - ie not a load of it hiding lots of bad stuff.. ;)

Tell me about it mate......... :ire:

As soon as I get some new pictures they will be on here, it can't be long now, the last time I spoke to the gaffer he was anxious to get it finished.

I just don't want to put any pressure on, although I have to admit, the very first thing I do when I get through the door at the end of the day is log-on and check for any progress and have done for the last 3 months! :ugeek:

Don't forget I had to extend my garage first so waiting for paint is not a problem... This has been a long time coming.
