Bit of an update...my May-day for any spare wings was answered by quite a few people...(and thanks to all of them!)

But I ended up getting these three wings up to the bodyshop within a week...

Image

The white one from Sean (didn't think I'd be seeing that again), and the rusty pair from Dave, who conveniently posted up that same week that he had a pair of mk1 wings going for free (as long as they went on a project car and not ebay!)

I ended up going with the burnt out rusty pair on the advice of the bodyshop...

Image

(he may have regretted that advice later, as he had to clean them up!)

The spare bonnet and tailgate I had gathering dust in the garage were getting prepped up at this point as well

The wings I picked up from Dave needed quite a bit of prep work, but a few days later one was on the car, and the other just needed a little more sandblasting...

They do fit now...there was still quite a bit of work involved to get the panel gaps sorted (and they'll never be spot on due to being :focus: - but certainly better than the mad max no wing look that might have been...)

Should be back at home by the end of the month...
But still not sorted the bumpers out.
We were going to use it for the wedding, but plans have changed, and we'll not need a car now - all at one venue (it will rain anyway!)

and yes...much happier

Back at home - still waiting for the rear window seals, but my goodness....can't stop smiling :groove:

Yes, yes, pics on the way - must do some work first (and clear the garage so the thing has somewhere to sleep again!)
