Starting to appreciate the costs involved to get myself ready to race. Need about 1k!!!
Car is looking good, exhaust to go on, front bumper, lights and bonnet.
Need to then see about getting her running and idling properly! Thats hopefully tomorrow evening sorted.

Can I get the car to run? Can I chuff!!

Got fuel, air, spark, timing is good i think
Compression is amazing!! Its k-jet management 16v KR golf mk2 engine it tries to fire sometimes but fails? other times it will just turn over and do nothing!

I am thinking the timing might not be 100% true :(

Leads are good, wiring is correct I think....

Any experts more than welcome to trundle down to Portsmouth to add their 2p worth lol

fuel problem to injectors sorted but now have a problem where I have no fuel filter :dash:

Need the correct fuel line, its the banjo fuel pipe that feeds the back of the fuel filter. Mr Monza Jake says he has the pipe for the other end that feeds to fuel distributor.

I have golf 16v fuel lines whereby they unscrew from the main fuel line around the back of the cambelt area. If anybody has one of these then I would be grateful.

windows are made, licence bought to race. Looking good but engine still not running, picking up a meter head Saturday and go from there. Seat is fitted as well as rear number plate lights and indicator/headlamp loom.

1st race is Easter Bank holiday (Easter Thunderball, santa pod) time is running out!

Got my helmet, gloves, boots and suit

Realistically I need to fit my windows, exhaust and get her running to be ready to complete!

anybody tried to put a polycarb rear screen in?! What an absolute barsteward!!!!
Because the screen is curved and also bowl shaped the polycarb ends up being smalled than the original screen becuae the shape is sooo difficult to replicate!

We done it and although it took 5 of us we got it in and have saved an awful lot of weight!

In other news I have been tinkering with the engine.......still
