still holding up better than brand new fords then!!!
my mate has had his fiesta st nicked a couple of months ago and they had it away in less than 30 seconds.
they broke the window setting the alarm off then once it stopped they leaned into the window and plugged something into the obd plug and had it away.

Problem is if they do get in that without an immobiliser fitted (either electronic or mechanical ie a steering wheel lock) it takes a matter of minutes...............................................................................................................................................

My Scirocco has had a Multi Lock gear lock fitted since new plus an alarm
May not be a good idea to advertise this fact on a public forum so your comments may need a little edit ?
I'll get in touch with Insurance company to see if a Thatch alarm plus disklok would bring insurance down. Will also checkout those armoured door plates - had never even thought of someone managing to break in that way. Most 2nd hand diskloks going for £60 on eBay, so when i finally catch the end of an auction in time, I'll order one!
Have fitted fake alarm flashing LED. I hope to add a small relay to turn off LED when car is running. Will buy variety of switches at weekend to experiment with positioning for kill switch.

Don't think so. Too far down the door for that, and you generally don't use tools. I've got a wide selection of breaking in kit from when I was doing roadside assistance. Someone has tried to improvise one of these, and not done very well.
Hi, I've fitted a hidden key switch on my Rocco, the key can be removed in the on or off position, it was from ebay for about 3 quid. The visible part is only the size of a 5p so it can be well hidden
