Few good hits with a chisel down down the back and the old race is off. Easier than I though and easier than most others that I've done

Looking good mate!

How are you finding the ST coilovers? I'm stuck between these and KW's...

Like the bottle top wheels aswell!

I done my research on the st vs kW and the st X coilovers are apparently the same as kw v1's just the st X arnt made from stainless steel, also the internals are the same " apparently "
I thought for a car that does 3000 miles a year And kept in dry garage that Stainless steel was a tad overkill!

Quality is amazing, the car is lowered quite abit ( my standards anyway )
The ride is very simliar to my mk3 scirocco, not stiff not bouncy, damping & Spring rates seems to match the car perfectly.

Bottle tops will become spares or mot wheels as I've ordered some others :-D

Cheers mate, I'll bear that in mind. I was going to go for weitec until I found out they stopped making them!!!

Haha I hope they are comfy, I run my VXR on the hardest damper setting and you feel every little bump in the road :(

Yer that's the same here mate I've just got some cheap P slots for it to sit on while I rebuild my BBS.

not been on for a while, so anyways ive decided to undertake the 20vt conversion, spoil the car probably yes.. steering rack needed changing so changed and was enjoying car how it was, then i found a 1.8t aum engine local to me so i had to have it, so in the process of collecting parts until the bonnet wanted to come open when driving, bonnet destroyed but didnt touch the roof or screen, so looking for a replacement i came across a 1986 gt 1600 in red which ive bought so now have 2 rocco's....

Bonnet swapped over & just back to enjoying the car. I plan to keep the car rolling so will be collecting parts until I have everything. For starters I need a lift pump in the tank, I'm thinking standard scirocco lift pump then fit external swirl pot & main pump. Any pointers? I've got the engine & 02a box but going with rod change. Also using dark side developments g60 lightened flywheel, vr6 clutch kit & Going to be using retroaction mounts & qpeng management & down pipe. G60 280mm front brakes

I have some bits you'll want. Will be getting them stripped off my old car hopefully later on this week.

In tank pump, and engine mounts (if you dont already have some) and a downpipe.

Will be posting them in the for sale section as soon as they are off and photographed.

Ben.

Will also have a column with a hydraulic master cylinder fitted, and have a cable clutch conversion kit too.

Little update, got some g60 280mm calipers on eBay then need a refurb before fitting. Anybody recommend good master cylinder & servo unit to push fluid to these big boys
