Changing the gasket, for now.
Planning on changing all seals and gaskets as a matter of course.
head will be going off to be pressure tested and cleaned up as the congealed oil inside was grim.

Nice...Good time to get the carbon off the pistons too I suppose while you wait to get the head back...

Spent a few hours this morning cleaning the bay up. Now looks like this...
Quite chuffed. Took about a litre of all purpose cleaner mixed to a strong dilution.
Found that its had some welding to the bulkhead at some point...
Will put some rust treatment on it at some point.
Also, love how this sticker has come up. Needs some glue on the back. Amazing how tough this is...
Will get to grinding and treating as many of the rust patches as possible, as soon as I get a rattle can made up.

hey alex
i was clearing out my loft and found my old speakers, your welcome to them if you want them, they work fine, made by PYLE.
only reason i changed them was because they lacked bass.
but the new ones i installed still lack bass, probably because 4x6 is a crap size for a speaker?
thats why i have a sub now,

Yeah man, be all over a set when details are sorted.
Just got in from work to a voicemail saying my tyres are fitted to the tarantula wheels, hopefully picking them up tomorrow afternoon for a few hours of cleaning and sealing.

Woah, been a while...
Had a few health problems last two months, but would appear to be heading in the right direction again so onwards with gramps.
Got my tyres fitted...
Wheels still need a lot of cleaning, but thats a little down the list of priorities for the car.
anyway, cleaned up the front of the block and gave it a lick of paint too...
And put the radiator and cowling together. Had to solder a different plug to the fan loom as the original fan made some interesting noises, so was changed for a later model one I had "in stock"...
And after what feels like forever I finally finished the head and manifolds...
And torqued down...
