I've never been a fan of Rocco Cabriolets but that is a whole different league.

Hello all,
Just a brief note to introduce myself and say Hi - great site btw :D
I'm into all VW's in general, both water and aircooled, and have a multitude of cars in various states of repair. But I have a particular soft spot for Scirocco's.
I have two MK1's - a met green Storm that could be put back on the road with little effort, and a brown Mk1 GTi Engineering car that is a complete shed. I have 'almost' collected everything it needs to start it's resto (anyone got a solid a n/s front wing ;) ).
On top of that I also have two Mk2 Storms, both brown. One will be my daily very soon

but the other although not too bad, does need more work.
I will post up some pics as soon as I get organised and I hope it doesn't offend anyone but here is my current daily, who's gonna be the first to guess what it is?
I'll post up more details of the cars and their progress when I have more time and I hope that you guys can give me some help and advice along the way.
Thanks for your time and bye for now.
Cheers,
Kevin

You've got a Carlos. Easy. Nearly bought a 5-cylinder one on a couple of occasions but managed to restrain myself. Welcome and I look forward to seeing your Sciroccos.

Hi Kevin,
Like the Santana - I have a bit of a thing for mk2 passats myself.
I wondered where the GTi Engineering Storm would end up - glad your looking to restore it.
Good luck and get some pics up of the rocco's

Evening all..
Name by which mom knows me: David Valentine
Forum name. DJPremier
I'm about to join the 'rocco ranks this Saturday AM when I drive away a 1984 Storm. I bought it as I needed another car while my T25 van is away having some surgery over the winter. I hadn't considered another 'project' really but when presented with the choice between a MK2 Storm and a dented purple polo, well, no contest.
He is not looking his best I have to say, but I am now getting all excited about some resto work and hopefully keeping him on.
It is great to find a forum with as much personality as this, and dedicate to the rocco. And you have
much better forum smileys than Club8090.
I'll might post some pics, maybe, but there isn't a 'good side' yet, inside or outside. Let the journey begin
Boomshanka
D
BTW. If anyone on here is in Nottingham, then I'd certainly like to talk to you (pick yer brains) about my new brown friend.. cheers.
