Thanks - hope this works and the wider 'rocco world can appreciate Mr T's craftsmanship

Anyone interested in sharing tooling costs for GTX 'B' pillar badges to be reproduced by Trimsport?

Hi, I used etch primer, high build primer and then black top coat (also referred to as two-pack).

Grotto update on the way. Lots of yummy rust.

As arrived.

The car and its panels have been sent to Pro-Strip here in Nottingham for dipping. It will interesting to see what returns in four weeks time.

Oh, and if anybody has a complete NOS rear panel (valance to boot shut), there is cash waiting. A big ask I know.

In fact any NOS panels going spare, then talk to me, I have a few mk1 projects in at the moment with more on the way.

More mk1 projects.

LongSRtermers may remember this 1980 Storm. Most of the wedling was done ages ago and an owner/fate has been decided. So getting on with it.

RHD car...

Big thanks to Marshall for the LHD kit.
Will share more work on this shortly, things are happening 8-)

And have also got cracking on this one, a French SL that is being returned from a track car to road spec.
Image

Got the welding done: reinstated the OS engine mount, dealt with the holes left by the rollcage and reinstated the spare wheel well.

Paint next for this one once the decals have been copied.

WOW Ant,

Nice to see a Silvergreen Storm getting the treatment altho the car you have there certainly appears further advanced with ferritic carcinoma than what I have here. The last project was a 76 Golf in for a shell rebuild..

Image

I have some NOS Scirocco1 panels but you will really want to be stuck as shipping from Australia is a tad expensive...

Next UK visit I will need come check out the grotto :yahoo:

Photo of our RR restored GTX and the missus on its first spring grand tour to the Isle of Arran over the weekend of 28/29 March 2015

Highland scenery sets off Mr T's lacquer finish very nicely!

Car ran like a dream over 220 odd miles and a ferry crossing apart from an annoying body resonance at 60mph (no noise below or above the 60-65 clocked range)- under investigation and any suggestions as to source most welcome as there's nothing obvious and difficult to pin point what area of the car it's coming from
