Re: Introduce yourself
Thought I'd post a pic of me and my car after the National Meet as I recognise lots of cars from the forum when I go to the meets/shows but putting faces-cars-names-forum names is a struggle lol. I bought my rocco as my 3rd car in 2000 (after experimenting with Fords) and am now converted to VAG.

Re: Introduce yourself
Good meeting you and Maxine, mate. Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye this morning but a slight hangover caused me to sleep in

Re: Introduce yourself
Well we went to bed early so we'd be up and off to Harewood early but I think there was only you that got up after us

Re: Introduce yourself
Hi
I'm Matt (Rocco GTII) and it was my first Rocco meeting at Cosford on 15th Aug 2009. I had a great time and everyone I met was really friendly. Owned the car for 10 years and wonder why I never joined the forum sooner!
Attached photos of the car. Not in bad shape seeing as I just managed to garage her, so she's not sitting in the hot sun fading away to an orange colour as they do.
The cruise along the motorway put a smile on my face - guess that's part we all signed up for along with the banter!
Hope to see you again soon

Re: Introduce yourself
Hi All, my name is Duncan and am in the process of buying a 1992 GT2 Scirocco. I hope to get along to the Edition 38 show, not sure if I will be in the Scirocco as I have to work on the Sunday. Great forum like the modern feel. By the way I live on the Isle of Wight if that is of interest.

Re: Introduce yourself
Hello everyone,
I've been floating around for a while and thought I ought to introduce myself. My name's Andy and I live in Cheltenham, but I'm originally from Nottingham. I've had my Rocco for around 10 years now but she's been off the road for around 4, but she'll be back in a few weeks! I had to go to the dark side of a Diesel Passat for a while as I was commuting 100 miles a day.
I'll try and dig out a few pics, but my Rocco is an '87 GT in Jade Green. Can't say it'd have been my first choice in colour, but she was offered to me after a friend of the family died (only had 33k on her). I'm only her second owner and she's still only got 75k on the clock. I've had more than a few dubs in my time (3 Bugs, 1 Mk1 Golf, 1 Jetta, 2 Passats and still have a Mk2 Golf GTi in the garage at my old folks).
Andy
