Hello all,
Haven't got a skyrocket myself, but before you start launching stones and stuff at me, i come in peace!
(have got a 89 jetta and a 76 polo btw)
I run the watercooled dept at Big Boys Toys, now under new ownership with VW Heritage group, down in Burgess Hill, on the south coast.
We are moments (weeks really) away from our Golf mk1/Mk2 catalogue, which is including platform cars too, ie jettas, caddy's and scirocco's!
have had quite a few enquiries so far from 'rocket owners, but thought i would say hi, and offer my services if you have something in particular you require.
drop me a p.m will endeavour to get back regularly and check them.. and will see what i can find you.
If your going to E38, or Players, come say hi!
Andy
If you can't see it, please ask, i like a challenge!

Heyyy
I'm new :)
I'm 21, currently in my second year of study reading Journalism at falmouth uni. Been into VW's since I was about 15, had loaaaads of mk2 GTI's, a few passat estates, a few Jettas (the odd GTI and GT). I've dabled in jap (a couple of toyota MR2's) and had a BM e30 touring but I always come back to the dub. This, hoever, is my first rocco.
£200
1988 Scirocco Scala (1800 carb)
95,000 miles with dealer stamped history to 85,000
Lots of old MOT's
4 months rent
3 months MOT (single advisory for a rear shock)
Some dodgy 5 spokes but with new tyres :)
Bodywork was in the process of being smoothed but not completed
Auto :( - however - the horror stories are untrue! Sitting between 70-80MPH Ive averaged about 35MPG, doing 70MPH it's only doing 2900-3000rpm. Changes lovely and is really smooth.
I have the bits off the back to put back on, and the interior is complete (even the bolsters are good!)
tadaaaaaa
Oh and -
WIN :D
Oh - and yes that is a cork in the rear windscreen
Today I've done a bit more smoothing, lots of sanding and put the rear end back together - looks a meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelion times better.

Hi guys,
Bought my first rocco few weeks back for the handsome sum of £100 off ebay. Haven't done a great deal yet; new batt, service, roof rack and sprayed the teardrop wheels black. Next thing to do is lower her to the deck on some coilovers when i get some £££. Plan is to make her a bit of a rat-wagon, yellow headlights soon too. Also thinking of swapping the 1.6 lump for something with a bit more go, maybe a 1.8 gti engine? Good to see a healthy 'rocco following and not just the usual Golfs etc (not that i got anything against them, they just cost so much now!)
Hope you like, Cheers,

Hi,
I've been around dubs, mainly Mk2 Sciroccos since about 1995. I think I've probably done most things with them, either on mine or other peoples over that time and am more than happy to help anybody if I can.
I am a professional automotive design development engineer, currently working on specialist fuel systems but previously did a reasonable spell in braking. My sepcialist area of knowledge though is suspension geometry and have set-up many a race / track car for people.
Currently building project budget blaster and will keep you all updated on it's progress as it happens!

I havent introduced myself in here yet so here goes ......
Names Steven and i'm from Carmarthen in West Wales. I bought my Scirocco about two weeks ago from a lovely lady in Hay-On-Wye. Its a GT2 and its "pretty" clean, needs a few bits and bobs doing to get it to the standard I want it and will hopefully be adding some slight modifications along the way. This is the first VW I have owned, I also drive a Skoda Fabia VRS (which hasnt moved since I bought the Rocco). I'm hoping to get to a couple of shows before the end of the season, I will be at Volksfest Wales if anyones going to be about.
