Thanks - just noticed the CX in your signature. Great choice.

Nice car! There seems to be a link between Scirocco owners and aviation for some reason - the previous owner of mine designed wings for jet fighters.
I'm on the hunt for a driver's side front wiper arm with the built-in spoiler
Best of luck finding one with the 'air vane' fitted - new ones are irritatingly unobtainable from anywhere it seems, even Classic Parts - I think they were only fitted for a year or two. If you see another one, let me know! New arms without the spoiler fitted are available though.

Yes, the wiper arm I've got is fine, I'd just like the "air vane." I presume mine was broken off at some point - easily done if you're a bit clumsy with a wiper blade change.
I've just ordered a few bits I needed from heritage. I'm a bit irritated because when I didn't need one, headlinings were still available from VW, but it looks like they've all been sold now.

Well, it's always possible to get a bespoke headlining. OEM is only available until supplies run out :(

What a beautiful car - great find!! Looks like it might have a Blaupunkt MR23 radio - rare unit. Dash looks in really nice shape too. Love the seats!

				Thanks, she's a good-un.
Yes, the dash is crack-free - courtesy of a lifetime of garaging, no doubt.
The radio is a Blaupunkt Oxford M26 - and the control knob is slightly broken. I managed to listen to the radio ok on the way home, though. I'll probably fit something more modern - I'd like CD/iPod/DAB facilities - but keep this to reinstate as needed.
I thoroughly enjoyed driving to work today.

The white car has been taken away to Cornwall today - bought without any viewing and collected by a 3rd party, so I hope the new owner's happy when it arrives.

Looks like a good day out, nothing better than watching old car race and by the looks of it they was all going for it...

If you can afford to buy a million pound car, you ought to be able to afford to repair it! The pro drivers and some of the owners have enough talent to put on a good race, and Goodwood never disappoints in this respect.

I never get to Stanford Hall, because it's always the weekend closest to my wife's birthday (1st May).
Nonetheless, in honour of the event, I gave the GTX a good clean and polish yesterday. Given how black the polishing cloth became, I don't think it's seen a lot of thorough cleaning in its life.
Paintwork has suffered a lot of scratches and dings over the years, but I want to get it mechanically A1 before worrying about paint.

Nice day, got the Storm out and went for a quick blast. Then a little bit of housework - new Lift-o-Mat (OEM) boot struts and a new boot seal as water was getting into the boot when it rained.
