i had this happen to me today. this morning my battery light came on going down the moterway. pulled off the moterway and the battery light eventually went out. the belt is fine and all connections seem fine????? i think the main thick red wire could do with being replaced so i might give that a shot. the alternator is new from being replaced last year but failing that i aint to sure what it might be. i will let you know what i find in case you have something similer.

i fixed it :ok: turned out to be the voltage regulator and brush pack. when i put a meter on the battery with all the loads on (i.e lights, fan/blower and rear window heater) the voltage dropped to 12volt. got a new voltage regulator and once fitted it works fine now, voltage never dips below 13.5.
