3a in the bottom pic at a guess. you don't need the complete thing, just the heated glass

Electric mirrors are easily bought from US ebay if your willing to pay the postage and fees, or i'm sure you can fit the mirror motor from say a mk2 golf into a standard Scirocco mirror but you'll need to get the correct glass for the heating element.
I have a couple of old motors and mirrors in the garage somewhere, so when i get chance i'll see if they fit!

I bought some from the US with the wiring loom and switch, you just need to swap the bases on the mirrors for right hand drive, not sure how much they cost me as it was 5 or 6 years ago, i know the weren't much but i think it cost me more in postage

I also have an aftermarket heated seat kit in my GTI, cost me £45 for the full kit to do the backrests and the bases, and with switches and wiring loom, not sure how good it is as the cars off the road and i havn't actually used it yet.

cheers
Tony

Well... found that the motor mechanicsm is actually available in a LOT of VW's. Not going to list the parts individually... so http://www.vagcat.com/epc/find/?art=357959577A there's the link :D

Now to start badgering an old dear just up the road that she don't need leccy mirrors on her crappy beat up Transporter

I had a heated drivers seat in my scala, heating element came out of some bmw, and just made up a basic loom and a toggle switch. Worked a treat, feels like you wet yourself though

haha... yeah, that's the feeling I want :D

Aftermarket kits are actually quite cheap now that I've looked into it, £90 for two front seats with variable heat control, independant per seat too...
