had loads of issues with mine (search my posts!) ended up with a restictor in the return line from the swirl pot, and recently changing the needle valve in the carb. Carb was clean and shiny within, but there was wear in the seating of the valve (Weber carb - 2 years old). I've got the standard air box on, with the vaccuum operated flap removed, and in this cold weather, the cold air inlet blocked off. Runs lovely now!

My spare Weber has been fitted, without an overhaul, to get an idea if it is the carb. Car is now running without the stutter all be it a bit fast. Apparently some of the adjustment screws are sticking and not adjusting. Plan is to strip and overhaul one. Hopefully this will now solve my stutter.
I just need to get the car running enough to get me to work then next week when I have a few days off will be able to do something with it then. I have a Weber manual on its way to help.

Cool - an exceptional piece of diagnostics if I may say so myself
Just hope Davevh has the same success
