errr... good question. I honestly can't rmember, I swa it ages ago and though "oooh, must have it... shineeeey"

It does stand proud of the rocker cover though, so I may have to modify it to fit a bit more snugly.

Them caps are a copy of the Audi R8, I saw them for sale at Inters, a company called Volksbits who are based in the Midlands area.

Thought I should do a bit of an interim update.

Been busy getting shizzle cleaned and powder coated.

Cleaning engine components is a satisfying task.

I also had the block shot blasted ready for paint... along with the inlet manifold. I picked them up this evening.







Gotta say, mighty impressed!!

Now to get masking for spray, before the block starts to rust, lol. Followed on by a good steam clean and we should be ready for a rebuild :D Must drop inlet manifold off to the dudes doing my head work!!!

Block's painted and I'm WELL impressed with the outcome.







I'm not overly bothered about the gash edges, once it's all dry I'll flat them back ready for the final components to go on.

Now to track down gasket that I haven't got ready for rebuild after the rest of the components are clean :D
And I'm also going to redo this bit..

Proof of life...

So we're still cracking on with "stuff". Managed to get the alternator rebuilt last night after giving it a damned good clean.





Still got a few additional ancilliaries to get blasted and coated then it's block rebuild a go go...

Hope to have the rear beam and front shizzle off wednesday / thursday depending on the bolts on the rear beam and the availability of the engine hoist. We'll see how it goes :D
