When you look under the carpets of this car you realize it was orginally a yellow TS, the car was repainted in 1986 by last owner to Mars red a Golf GTI colour and had later colour coded bumpers fitted along with a black GLS interior
only to crash in 1987 ![crying :crying:](./images/smilies/cray.gif)

Mars red! isnt that early!!!! the first years colours were from Porsche (914 built at Karmann) the second year vw had some of their own. This car could be with me very soon!!!81GTi wrote:you know the car well then? any chance you can let us know where it resides?hall54 wrote:Boumsong wrote:

Re: A sad sad day
This is a late January '75!!! still to early for Mars red. Its a shame this car is missing its original yellow early type ( without the thin stripe in ) tartan interior inc: steering wheel, salt and pepper carpet and early heater controls.81GTi wrote:you said it was painted in 1986! Think I may have sourced another ( wreck ) early car ('74) in v.rare Palma green same colour as many Porsche 914 built at Karmann at that time, this colour only lasted from Oct-Dec '74 and was superceeded by another Porsche colour Viper Green
