OK Chaps,

So I have to apologise to VW Heritage. They did supply new flat anti rattle clips with the pads. They were hidden under some paper in the box. I'm an idiot, yes.

I was boxing them up to return and found them. Duh!

ANYWAY.

Fitted them last week, and today, although a tad icy still, the roads are dry and snow free here in Lincolnshire. Soooo, thought I'd test them out. Brake peddle seems satisfying stiff (ooo err ) and it was noticeably different how much more responsive they were.

Did ten or so gentle stops from 30 mph to 0, no issues at all.

So, moral is, don't be a Tw*t, check everything right to the bottom of the box... That that was the hardest part.

Some pics for you attached:

Final shots of the install, nice and shiny!

As a side note, when i had the fuel tank changed, the chaps at PCC Peterborough said one of my front wheel bearings was singing, so I asked them to replace both front with the complete kits. Hence the shiny hub nuts...

Good to see it’s all back together.
I did laugh about the clips hidden in the bottom of the box :-D
