At the fusebox, there's a black and green wire, with a spade connector floating about not going anywhere. I have a feeling it's for the rear wipe/wash? This was crudely sliced at the boot end, ive joined it back up then noticed the relay is missing, (No 72) so ordered one. Where does this spade live?

Secondly, How is the rear demist powered, should there be a relay for that too? Haynes, and circuit diags etc suggest no.

Hmmm could well be which would explain why it's not connected
Could also be "e2 - grn/blk- rear wiper motor pin 53"

I know it’s no easy looking behind the fuse box and not always a great idea moving/pulling all those old wires around but you may need to have a look and see what’s connected, at least you may have an idea where to look...

At least with the Scirocco the rear wiper is not really needed, it’s not like an estate car when the rear screen gets very dirty with all the spray from the road being thrown up the back of the car...

WELL, After many weeks, she now has a clean ticket! Now bodywork to do... also cleaned up the seats, and managed to get the previously painted black doorcards BACK to their original grey.

Great news, with lock down starting to ease soon you will be able to get out and enjoy it or just take the Scirocco when you need to get some shopping

Still got the car! Used, then laid up, then used, now laid up again but fast approaching paintwork time!
