I always wondered what that little hole was! It hadn't caused any problems so I just assumed that was the way it was meant to be. Thanks!

Don't know if this photo will work and I don't have a good picture as my other account is locked?

It's there to stop any dirt, oil and water getting onto the clutch so worth trying to find and fit one.
I've not screwed my main cap in very far as it's plastic and can be a right pain to unscrew if you want to do your timing with a timing gun.

I've got one ordered! Would spraying some brake and clutch cleaner in there be of any benefit or a big no no?

should be fine as it will evapourate off

I would not bother spraying anything in the hole as it won't really make any difference.
