which type slave cylinders did you go for in the end?
any part numbers on the packaging?

Same ones I used on my car, febi ones I think. The ones that came off were a slightly different style, but same size (Didn't have the threaded hole right the way through).

I'm thinking I might drain the fluid out of the cylinder, pull the adjuster down a bit and bleed the system. I think this will give it a bit more leverage

Also noticed the top spring is in the wrong hole (Should be the one to the left), I did sort that out after I took that picture though...Just incase anyone uses that pic as a guide

Get someone to stand on the pedal good and hard, then hook the wedge through a wheel bolt hole and pull it down. Also worth checking someone hasn't tried to adjust up the rear brakes by tightening the cables at the handbrake lever end

Yeah, good idea! The cables do look tighter than on my car, will have another play today

Loosened the handbrake cables and drove around like a 17 year old with an asbo slamming the brakes on..Now the handbrake is brilliant. Actually locks the wheels up while driving, so thats good!
