Re: Egor - now off the road and ready for some love
SO he finally got moved today off the gravel and onto the drive so he could be jacked up and we could remove the kit
He needed a bit of a jump to get started but then all was well to say he's been sat since Jan!
How well on are the arches!!! finally got the passenger side off and very relieved to see theres only a little surface rust and nothing to worry about!
Passenger side off and same story alls well!

Re: Egor - now off the road and ready for some love
So bit of progress! hurrah!
Sent him of to the welders for his bum transplant!
All loaded and ready to go
of course i requested a photo when he had arrived safely at the garage!
Ready for the old rear to b cut out
New bum in place!
Bit of rot that got sorted at rear of arches
a week later and he is back at home :)
haven't had chance to have a proper look at him yet but i have a week off work so hopefully get a few more bits done :)

I'm pretty sure you can still get mk2 windscreens from pilkington.

Re: Egor - now off the road and ready for some love
Call a local windscreen place for a price to come out and fit, I got a new Mk1 golf fitted at home for £100.
New windscreen from VW heritage was £70 but I did not want to run the risk of breaking it when fitting so £30 for peace of mind was worth it in my eyes.
