You know Randall, I've seen extremely rusty cars restored... you sure you want to give up on that shell just yet?

I know economically it might not make sense, but then hardly any of this makes sense economically!

On the plus side, you can probably find a Mk1 shell in the southwestern part of the US in good shape if you need to go that route...

ThomasD, I spent yesterday with this Scirocco and have decided to make it a track day car with a different engine and transmission. The good bites of this Storm along the engine and the transmission will eventually be put into another shell and I will build it into a show car to be taken around America to show how these cars looked when they were new in the late 70's/early 80's

I will be moving to Maryland to live full time soon instead of visits every few months. Then this project start to move at a better pace than it has for the last 2 years since I got this Scirocco

This Storm will be moving to another garage/shed soon and the process of rebuilding will start
