So last time I read about windshields, I miss read and the post was from 2014. I wanted to get 2 because there is no where in Canada that you can get one. Are these still available in the UK. If so how am I able to get one or 2. I've started a project and can't do what I need to because if I take my windshield out it will break in half as its cracked right across.
Love this car, I bought it thinking I'd be able to get one... no such luck.
Thanks in advance... and I did check the date of this post...:)

Yes you can get screens made in the uk for the Mk1 Scirocco, there must be someone in Canada who can make windscreens, might have to phone some windscreen suppliers as I guess no one would post a screen to Canada from the UK...

To confirm as above, you can still order glass through Pilkington classic, I took delivery of one 6 months ago, ordered through autoglass as I didn’t want the struggle of fitting it myself, in the end I waited 6 months before fitting as the first one turned up damaged, Pilkington classic production has now mostly moved to Finland but ordering is via uk

The guy selling the trim clips for £140, (He also has other Mk 1 bits advertised at silly prices!!!!!), has two windscreens, each advertised at £70.

Nate wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2014 11:11 pm I will ask about green tint, but I suspect that all screens would need to be the taxi same to get the discount. Leave it with me, I'll try to get an answer on that by the weekend.

And yes, these will be laminated screens, made by pilkington who made the originals. They will bear the required safety markings. I'm reasonably sure that laminated screens have been a c&u requirement since the late 60s
I've got one too so that's another one accounted for!
