I don’t think it ever took off Craig – it was a guy with a red mk1 Golf GTi (TurboTechnics ) from nr Bath/Trowbridge I seem to remember…

who has painted it for you?
It was painted by JW automotive in Bridgwater, Somerset. He seems to spray alot of VW's and classic cars.

Still awaiting price from the trimmers, will chase it up tomorrow. Just want it back home so I can start looking through carboard boxes to find all the bits I took off over the last few years. Hope I can remember how it all goes back together!

What colour will the Webasto roof be trimmed in?
Won't a black headlining look odd with a white sliding roof?

You'll be spending money on new chrome trim and rubbing strips now!!!!

The spending never stops.

The Webasto is being retrimmed so if I change the head linner I'll also renew the head linner on the Webasto,

I'm not far from Bridgwater, I work in sunny Burnham-on-sea. I use the Golf as my daily driver and the Scirocco has not been on the road for a few years, I did see a Mk1 in Taunton B&Q car park about 3 years ago (looked in a sorry state). Hope your Scirocco is going well.

No more photos yet as STILL awaiting a price for the retrim so going to another company tomorrow to get another price. All I keep getting is I'll call later/tomorrow with a price and its starting to pee me off now. :ire:

I am in Taunton ,the last scirocco mk1 I saw was in Bridgwater a red one with factory steel sunroof ,that was a couple of years ago.

There is a good trimmer in Langport my brother had a seat repaired he done a excellent job,can get you a number if that helps.

My mk1 has been laid up for a number of years ,so needs re commissioning ,hopefully have it running next year.

I've owned two Plantinum grey (L98) mk1 Sciroccos over the years, one of them is the very car that MK1GLS in restoring, I bought it in 1991 when it'd had only 2 previous owners and 50,000 miles on the clock. I sold it in 1995 to help pay for a flat in london, I so want another one now!!!!
