Yeah they look like the ones which are are there at the moment, however they don't fit which is the issue

Correct, these are the same as you already have and will not fit, only if you have later doorpanels with smaller holes.

Have looked in my garage but do not have them, only the switches.

Surrounds are going to be a problem.

here are the partnumbers:

Driversside double = 533 837 937 01C

Pass.side single = 533 837 938 01C

To change to the earlier surrounds you would need the earlier switches as well, now that will not be cheap and hard to come by!
Is there not a way to secure them from the back, engineer some sort of holding device? If not as stated before maybe look for a door car and cut your own hole.
By the way, do the electric windows work?

Thanks for the replies guys,

Yes they so work Ian however they look to be installed by someone (not factory). As mine is a 1992 and these are the later switches surely they are right? And the door card is wrong maybe?

I didn't need to change the switches just the surround.

originally i hooked the old surround and used some black tape to cover the gap?

Does anyone know where I can get replacement switches like these?
Jack92 wrote:I'm a little confused regarding the windows switches on mine.

Basically they don't fit?

are they from a different car? or are the holes to big?

basically what do i need to replace to make it work

thanks :)

iirc the later cars had a bigger surround but the swtches are the same.

I've been trying to find them but I think they're part of an aftermarket kit fitted by dealers! will look on Ebay again. was it another VW model they were under?

I gave up trying to get the surrounds in the end thinking of making something as I still haven’t found them.
