Euro Car Parts sell the 55 litre tanks at £162, I would be asking for a discount!
Where are you based as I have a good rapport with a branch of Euro Car Parts?

Hi

I am based in sheffield, but my car is currently in North Wales..

My uncle is overseeing the repairs so would more than likely get the parts from up there. Fingers crossed it doesn't come to needing a new tank!

thanks for the help!

will post as soon as i find out what is going on under the car!

Frosts do a stuff that you pour into the tank and slosh about, coats the inside of the tank, kills rust, seals it blah blah. Only ever used it on stationary engines though

Thanks I will look that up. I will phone the mechanic in the morning and ask him to have a look and tell me what's going on.

Hi guys. I have only just had my car back today and got the worst news. The petrol tank seams are on their way out.

So is it worth buying the £300 tank from heritage? Or am I just as safe getting a good used one?

Thanks!
